Fisher House Foundation Mission
The Fisher House Foundation operates a network of comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay at no cost while a loved one receives medical care. Since its founding, the Foundation has served more than 570,000 families and provided over 13 million days of lodging.
The Alaska Fisher House extends that mission locally by providing a place for families to stay close to their loved ones during treatment in the Anchorage area.
Each Fisher House is designed to feel like home. Families share a warm, welcoming space where they can rest, connect with others, and focus on what matters most.
Located on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, the Alaska Fisher House serves families traveling from across Alaska to access medical care. Community support helps make this possible and ensures families can continue to receive care when they need it most.
