Fisher House Foundation

The Fisher House Foundation is best known for its network of comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay at no cost while a loved one receives medical care.

Because many military and veteran families must travel far from home for specialized treatment, Fisher Houses are built near major military and VA medical centers across the country. These homes allow families to stay close to their loved ones during hospitalization, treatment, or recovery.

Each Fisher House is designed to feel like home, offering private bedrooms, shared kitchens, laundry facilities, and welcoming common spaces where families can rest and support one another during difficult times.

The Fisher House program is a unique public-private partnership that works alongside the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to support military and veteran families. Today, Fisher Houses serve families at military and VA medical centers throughout the United States and overseas.

Fisher House Foundation is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s highly rated military and veteran nonprofits, earning strong ratings for financial stewardship, transparency, and impact from independent charity evaluators.
