IMMEDIATE NEEDS
Monetary donations Cash/Checks/Gift Cards can be dropped off at the House during regular business hours OR credit card donations may be made by clicking HERE. Checks may be mailed to: Fisher House of Alaska Board of Directors, 200 West 34th Avenue, Suite 29, Anchorage, AK 99503. All donations are tax deductible.
Your donation is used to purchase items in direct support of our guests.
Bottled water, shelf-stable whole and 2% milk, canned soup, cereal, individually wrapped snacks (crackers, chips, cookies, granola bars, slim jims, jerky, etc..) We are unable to accept opened or expired food items.
Travel-sized toiletries, Q-tips, deodorant, mouthwash, dental floss, hair brushes and combs, hair ties and bobby pins, chapstick, tweezers, hair spray, hand sanitizer, nail clippers, toothpaste
Toilet paper, paper towels, paper bowls and plates, disposable coffee cups with lids, Kleenex, 13 gallon kitchen drawstring trash bags, dishwasher tabs, liquid dish soap, laundry detergent (liquid for HE front load washing machines), color safe bleach, Swiffer Wet Jet pads and liquid, ziploc bags of various sizes, tupperware, aluminum foil, plastic wrap
Misc such as umbrellas, inexpensive thermometers, reading eye Glasses 2.50+ (inexpensive readers), large-sized gloves
Items may be dropped off at the Alaska Fisher House during regular business hours

Volunteer or Host A Meal
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The house is in need of dedicated individuals that can come on a regular (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc...) basis who would be willing to do whatever needs to be done on any given day.
This could include tidying up or cleaning the common areas, organizing closets, baking cookies, or just visiting with guests who may be house-bound and need someone to talk to.

HOST A MEAL PROGRAM:
Guests are always grateful when organizations or units host a meal in the House. Three to four hosted meals per week are welcomed. Please contact a manager at 222-1673 to schedule a meal.
HOST A PET PROGRAM:
Occcasionally, there are guests who find themselves in an unplanned medical situation while in Anchorage with their pets. Since pets are not allowed in the Fisher House, there is always the need for families that are willing to take in a pet for a short time while our guests are here.
